Monstrous turnout for Origins 06 HOTT Tourney

GLADBAG's Origins tournies closed with a monstrous bang on Saturday evening
as we pulled in a fantastic 20 players in the 3rd Annual 15mm Hordes of
the Things tournament. We had plenty of loaner armies on hand, but most
folks brought their own "Fantasy DBA" armies. Elves, Orcs, Dwarves,
Hobbits -- all the standard armies were present, along with some unusual
ones like American Indians, Amazons, Centaurs and even a "Flightless
Birds" army. GM Steve Sattler was flexible and allowed folks to play
in as many or as few rounds as they liked. With this excellent turnout at
Origins, along with the steadily growing following at HMGS Great Lakes conventions
Warband and Warparty, HOTT has established itself firmly among the GLADBAG
faithful.
...and the winner was: Allen Sams, "Egad -- Rats!"
The winning army, Allen Sams' "Egad -- Rats!", was a borrowed
one from John Loy, who performed slightly less successfully with his own
portion of his Rat troops. Plenty of folks ooh and aahed over the latest
Eye Candy army from Dave Zecchini, as well. His stunning Orcs of the Frostfang
and Stronghold were a show stopper, and pics of it are featured below.
